CHERRY GROVE PIER
North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

With a two story observation deck, this pier was built in the
early 1950's and has weathered many a hurricane. It was been remodeled and lengthened in 1999 after a visit from Hurricane Floyd.
Many records have been set on this pier including a world record
1780 lb. Tiger Shark and a record 98 lb. Tarpon.

 

   

For golfers, this is paradise, with over 100 courses that cater to players of every skill level. For those who love fishing and boating, there is both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, with many marinas, piers, water sport rentals, and charter fishing.

The Cherry Grove/Myrtle Beach area offers over 1500 restaurants, with everything from beach clubs to gourmet dining.

An abundance of entertainment is offered including a gambling Casino Cruise, the Grand Prix Thrill Park, the Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Myrtle Beach Water Park, Nascar Speed Park, Ripley's Squarium and much, much more!

This region is noted for its great shopping. There are huge outlet malls, specialty shops and entire shopping and entertainment complexes like Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. You'll find flea markets and antique shops, mega golf and sporing stores, etc.
